BBQ Weekend

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

This year we have our annual Meat Masters BBQ cook off at the Canyon. We ask that if you wish to participate in this year's annual BBQ contest that you put together your favorite recipe of BBQ — pork, beef, ribs, etc. — and cook them on Saturday off the deck of the pool area and create your own famous BBQ to share with approximately 20 people. Once cooked and ready, contestants should bring their BBQ onto the pool deck area and set up under the shade area at their own tables.

Judging the BBQ will be done by campers who have not prepared any BBQ. Campers, this is a free event and you can sample all the BBQ you can handle. In the end each camper will be asked to put their ballot for first place into a ballot box. If you wish to bring a side like potato salad or coleslaw that would be great. Punch will be provided.

At the end of the judging, you will have the bragging rights for the best BBQ of the Canyon for a year.
